If its just aches and pains use ibuprofen instead a doctor.

Theres orthopedic clinic in Robinson cybergate at osmena cirle and also one in perpetual succour hospital (new building).
But as always it depends on the doctor very much - and I really didnt find a good orthopedic doctor until today myself.

No pain no gain! But seriously do NOT go to Chong Hua. They have not got a damn clue and give false diagnosis. The ones in Cybergate seems reasonable and fixed me up with a some good supporters.

Some very serious training for many years and more than a few visits to top surgeons But I try and fix things myself if possible.

they the drs love to prescribe muscle relaxers which i dont take. I love therapy especially when a young lady is my therapist and working on my pulled groin.

True story asi had to get my abbductors and adductors stretched which were causing hip pain. I was stripped down to my boxer shorts and when they were stretching me i didnt realize but my package was there for all to see as there were 2 girls stretching my hammys, glutes, adductors and they went and grabbed a towell and wrapped it around my groin area and after the 2 hour therapy which was awesome they told me i need to get some bike shorts for my next 6 sessions.

By aches and pains I mean knees are painful going upstairs and cant get full extension with my right knee and it looks slightly swollen than the left knee. Lower back gets stiff..Right shoulder is sore. So I will be heading to Cybergate ASAP!

Have had both knees arthroscopically repaired in the last 12 months - due to meniscal tears from too aggressive cycling/treadmill and eliptical machines.

Main symptoms were pain with stairs (down mostly), swelling after workouts and reduced extensions - and general pain a few clicks.

I wasted my time with an ortho specialist in Chong Hua arts building first - he sent me to the sports rehab place in the Arts Building ground level for rehab and ultrasound treatment etc for 3 weeks. Made no difference - and having had knee tear repair 10 years earlier I knew the symptoms were the same.

He relented and agreed an MRI was required - found the tear - but seeing as he didn't do surgery - referred me to the Ortho Centre in Cybergate. I had surgery two weeks later on that knee - all now is great.

For the second knee - I called the doctor at Cybergate directly this time - surgery was 2 weeks later - so much less BS to go through.

Be prepared for a long wait in their waiting room - most of the doctors do surgery AM in local hospitals - and attend Cybergate after lunch (they close 12n-2pm) . Once most people know what doctor they have - they'll go there in the AM before lunch - and grab a priority number for the afternoon sessions,

Not saying your case and issue is the same - but have found the specialists in the Ortho Clinic are a quicker route to a diagnosis and treatment :)
