Gardenia raisin is the only bread I buy here.  I more often make my own, usually sourdough. Finding decent bread flour ( not buggy) is a challenge but that is off topic.

Buggy, as in raisins?

No, raw bread flour bought here to bake your own bread. Have to nuke it first in the microwave to kill weevil eggs. But you never know what your eating in any prepared foods either. I guess if it doesn't kill you your good to go.... usually.

Look for the little legs, or the eggs.. If the flour was bad, they'll be in the pizza dough.

Flour weevils are black, about the size of a pin head. The eggs are off white to light brown in color. That is in raw flour. Nothing to really worry about as they will not hurt you. Just our western aversion to eating insects 😁

If you only knew what is allowed in processed foods in the US!

to bad they dont put nice raisins in the bread. Its more like just specs and pieces of raisins. Ripoff to me. Maybe its gotten better but i stick to the gardenia wheat.
