Taxi from airport

Recommended Posts

Jawny

I did get some vague instructions from the airport management company.  In the usual fashion it took several back and forth queries and I finally quit asking.

I am meeting the passenger at the domestic flight arrivals. I was told by the management office that taxis are not allowed to go to the arrivals area.  Seems ridulous for situations where someone wants to come from the city to fetch their fellow traveler.  Need to go to the departure area and then walk to the arrival area.  Apparently there are some stairs proximate to the smoking area.

Taxi can drop you off at the departure, then go through the building and there is a ramp to the arrival, it is covered and there are some benches to sit at

I'm not sure you can get to that ramp without a ticket unless there is a way around the building to it.

Just ask a guard inside departures.

If taxis aren't allowed to go to Arrivals, then how do the taxis get to the taxi pickup area at Arrivals? Something isn't right here. Just have the taxi drop you off at the domestic taxi pickup area at Arrivals.

I can see how this could be very confusing for people , so I am going to give  step by step instructions.

When you take a taxi to the airport it takes you to the departure area . Taxis are not allowed to pick up there , altho you can often sneak into one.

With me so far ??

If a taxi drops someone off and he wants to try to get a fare at the airport, the taxi then drives to the arrival area and gets in line with all the other taxis waiting  for passengers .

If you want to go to the airport and meet someone just follow Woolf's instructions.  { but in order to be fully complete with these instructions let me say this :

1. take taxi to departure area.    2 . walk to arrival area.   3 . get new taxi at arrival area after you meet your friends

Take the My Bus it is blue

but I think you will have difficulty to get it all for your self no matter how much you pay
