DIY Deed of Sale Documents

Recommended Posts

Ricbak

A couple of ex pats near me were wondering whether they can compile their own Deed of Sale documents and then just get the signatures witnessed and notarised. This they believe would  then save them the cost of the 7-10% of the purchase price demanded by some lawyers for essentially doing very little.

Would these documents be acceptable to the DENR for titling etc?

YES.  I do it all the time.  [ for transferring purposes ]    I have never dealt with the DENR

You need them for the BIR  [ who eventually issues a CAR which you take to the ROD ]

7-10% ??  The usual fee is about 1%- 1 1/2% . The highest I have ever heard is 3%

I did 2 in Cebu last week . I paid  less than    .1  % each  for Notarization
