For those wanting a change from Red Horse, Vegemite Stout might be the thing,

Quote

Vegemite Stout

Method: All Grain
Style: Foreign Extra Stout
Boil Time: 60 min
Batch Size: 23 liters (fermentor volume)
Boil Size: 30 liters
Boil Gravity: 1.048 (recipe based estimate)
Efficiency: 70% (brew house)

Recipes are online, but sounds like a pretty gross beer :beer2:.

Vegemite Cadbury Chocolate was around for a while last year or year before ..... was ummm interesting ;)

TBH - Vegemite and stout isn't all that dissimilar - (well closer than sour and sweet) - might not be too bad

Always curious what it taste like?Dont make to much of a joke about it..I actually like Limburger cheese,durian...etc..which most people find offensive..

if you find any - the only real rule is spread it thinly

It's a CONCENTRATED yeast extract   - not to be spread thickly like peanut butter or jam/jelly etc.

no need to plaster it on - nor out to the edges of the toast - a little goes a LONGGGGG way.

All these Youtube vids of people going EWWWWWW - they used about 5 times too much

well yeah - I was just advising the non-AU newbies to the stuff to go easy till they get their Vegemite-legs ;)  Once they are hooked that's their problem...

I like it thick  - with butter under and cheese over - on crusty bread.
