At this time of year if it does grow and arrive. Would that make it a late season storm an early season storm?

Too early to tell. WindyTV is not an excellent source but sometimes even a blind squirrel finds a nut.

February is climatologically the least active month of the year but there are exceptions and the climate is, ahem, changing. This thing is so far out in the Pacific that any predictions are worthless at this point. Will know more in a week.

Over 4,000 km from d'Phils at the moment. Guam might get some action this coming weekend. There is absolutely no need for storm-worrying at this point.

Looks like it could be pulling down some cool air next week.  Just in time as it has recently begun to warm up more than is necessary.

Yes warmed up to 27c with higher humidity yesterday!! not seen that in months.

If the storm tracker is to be believed it looks like it will blow itself out before coming in land, may just be wet and not so windy

Okay, we're starting to look at a major storm in the western Pacific in the off month of February.

US Navy peaks it at 105 knots. That's a right proper storm.. Impact on the Phils seems doubtful as most models call for a recurve to the NE. Conditions are quite favourable.

Right now it's tropical storm 02W and named Wutip.
