my wife and some of her family just returned from boracay a couple days ago and said there was nothing different about getting there or staying in a resort.  i don't think there is any new homework needed aside from the usual trip planning stuff like before the closure.  she said there was plenty of available resorts to choose from.

Supposedly, as a tourist, you are not allowed to even board the boat if you don't have a booking with an accredited hotel.

Here is a list of accredited hotels as of about a week ago

http://www.tourism.gov.ph/files/DEC28_BORACAY.pdf

Reading other forums. Some people say they were checked and some say they weren't. i presume they didn't check you had a correct booking.

Not sure what you are supposed to do now if you just want to visit for the day. If I was staying in Kalibo, I would not bother with staying on Boracay. i would just do it as a day trip.

Actually its quite simple .   You drive your car up to the ferry .   Once you get the front two wheels on the boarding  ramp the the back two just kind of follow along .

Then you just park where they tell you to .  They take care of the rest .
