Topline Express: Commute from/to Mactan and Cebu City in 30 minutes

Recommended Posts

Hi Folks,

Just read about this on Sugbo.ph

25PHP fare with 30 minutes trip time from Mactan Wharf to Cebu pier 3 by boat.

Would be really handy way to dodge the traffic if it runs well.

(I searched for 'Topline' priot to posting - please delete if this has been covered already mods, cheers...)

Best Regards,

Geo...

Thanks - may take just for snicks

Took other ferry to the Cebu-Mactan Ferry dock on Dimataga  many times to visit her family - took 20 min or less - I can see the 30 min since it is 4 Km farther.

Still  around 1 1/2 to 2 hours - total - to / from ferry is the problem

30 minutes travel time - but they don't mention loading and unloading plus getting to pier 3 and off mactan wharf ... in the end this is slower than using the bridges being an experienced driver

I like the free shuttle idea. Might try it.

I had a scoot on that one last timeback in Oct/Nov - the wife and friends & family were going to have a look at the 'Happy World Museum'  The ferry to mactan was fine but coming back was disorganised chaos getting back on (whats new, eh?)

This ferry would suit me as I'm usually bound for pier one just a quick walk from pier 3.

I'll give it a go next time over and post my experince on here after.

I usually use the MyBus service which is pretty good but this will mean I avoid all the constant stoping and starting in the traffic.  One smooth sail from point A to point B...

Then again, when I get back to Cebu after a bit of time away nothing short of the world coming to an end can piss me off on that day :D

I usually make it to the back side of the airport in around 45 min from Escario and Osmena in the morning and less than 1 hour back at night. Never go / come in rush hour.

Have learned a few short cuts that help - right just over water past SM on way to S&R

Then another one after that that cuts out 3 stop lights.

I usually make it by cab from Gaisano Grand Lapu2 to SM Seaside in about 50 minutes.

You just need to know the best times to travel.

I used to love riding 'the river bus' for a change of scenery and pace

I wasnt ever in a hurry, so however long it took didnt bother me
