Administrator +Dafey 15,612 Posted October 29, 2018 Administrator Share Posted October 29, 2018 Quote License plates in 2-3 days for new vehicles with LTO's e-payment system The production of license plates for newly registered vehicles has been hastened following the Land Transportation Office's (LTO) new e-payment system. According to a report by Saleema Refran on QRT on Friday, the system so far only covers new motor vehicles but will soon include license and registration renewal. "'Di na po kailangan lumapit sa fixers kasi po sa kanilang bahay pwede na sila magbayad ng kanilang mga transactions only for new registration. In two to three days may plaka na siya. So yung mga sasakyan natin bago ilabas sa casa may plaka na," said Angie Fadriquela from LTO-NCR Finance. In the new system, dealers can digitally input the details that will be printed out in the receipts, and then pay at the Landbank of the Philippines. However, there are still many car owners that have been waiting for their plates for years and there is still a 6.1 million backlog in motorcycle license plates. In 2015, the Commission on Audit issued a Notice of Disallowance (ND) the Supreme Court issued a temporary restraining order (TRO) against plate suppliers due to failure to comply with government procurement guidelines. https://www.msn.com/en-ph/money/topstories/license-plates-in-2-3-days-for-new-vehicles-with-ltos-e-payment-system/ar-BBOVNkn?ocid=spartandhp

I went to buy a motorcycle on saturday and was told by first dealership that registration would take about 3 months, a second dealership {Emcor} said up to 7 months! This is just for proof of registration not plates.
