SkyMan 23,705
No need to lift your multicab for that load.
SkyMan 23,705
I did a spring over axle mod for mine for heavy loads. I had 24ft bamboo stacked 2ft above the sides once and used to routinely haul 220 gallons water up the hill to my place.
cookie47 2,021
Hi, Height change using extended shackles does not change the carrying capacity of the vehicle. Its original capacity stays the same as per manufacturer specs. Yes it's true that raising the body height using longer shackles will give you more suspension travel which is acually somewhat subjective. (however ALL the other components carrying capacity stays the same.I have no issues with raising a vehicle using extended shackles having been around 4wd,s since the wheel, however this is done to add extra height for transversing rough terrain NOT to change it carrying capacity which can only be done with the appropriate spring modifications (in part) and an engineering certificate. Also.Extended shackles have a limit for safe operation. When exceeding a certain height/length (which i think was 4 inches in Au )..... sorry I'm a bit rusty,,,,, a center bolt with spacer/tube is Highly recommended to stop shackle twist and is mandatory under Australian roadworthy regulations in my state.Lastly, I'm not familiar with "your particular" Multicab as for weight capacity but I've seen some that says 600kg. So two adults and two children would be fine.. My opinion is to leave it alone, but i am an old fart.and have quite different view now than when i was in my younger days.. lamoe 14,540
Not taking them south with us through mountains Made it up to flower farm turn off in D - a little lug in one spot - no problems with SM or even Ayala Bohol exit

Quite correct but when I did the springs over axle conversion, I added a leaf which helped but big loads still inverted the springs. Glad I don't need to haul bamboo anymore.
