Anyone found decent gas grills in Cebu?

Recommended Posts

Rocketman

Brought a new gas grill from home when I got here in 2012.  I'm ready for a new one but naturally frustrated with the options and prices here.  I prefer not to buy overseas and have it shipped - too much hassle.  Has anyone found a good place for grills - just want a 2 or 3 burner with rotisserie?  S & R has an ok one for P30,000, Landers had a few, months ago, but I don't feel like renewing my membership there just to look.  The Webers are nice at True Value, Ayala but more than twice the price they should be.  I've never been to Wilcox, but their website (as usual here) shows little.  Any ideas?

Well, Ace Hardware Consolacion "had" one very close to your picture parked in their entrance. The reason i know this is it was the first style I've come across in that accually resembles an Australian Bbq.

Sorry cant remember the cost..

Although I said I couldn't remember the cost, I do remember remarking to my wife that it was expensive compared to Australia. Which i found unusual as "generally speaking" things are a cheaper when converted to AU dollars.
It certainly wasn't brand named (like Weber)....

Was looking at these at Lowes in USA the other day. Surprised how cheap they've gotten here. The lid alone on the Weber was very heavy...

I'm a bit out of touch, but for the purpose of the thread those Bbq pictures would cost $800 to $1200 in Au unless one of our members in AU can correct me...

No. I just remember seeing like what I paid $600 for a stainless steel 15 years ago, was less than $200.

They weigh so much, that the shipping to the Philippines would be prohibitive .

They have a 2 burner Weber at Handyman in Dumaguete, but for P45,000, I'll take a pass. That's just crazy. I forgot to check but the next time I am there I'll see if it was made in China.

No rotisserie on this and not sure if they have them in Cebu.  But if you want a decent basic grill.  I bought  this Weber 1999 and have used it 2 to 3 times a week since new, never replaced a part!  The only care it has had is it is kept out of the weather and cleaned and it still looks decent. Also comes in a larger size, the small one has worked well for me.

Yesterday I converted it from large LP tank back to the small tanks as I am taking it on a trip in my RV.

Weber Baby Q in Australia.

Very popular and reliable. Every traveller has got one. The only thing to buy for a couple. As you say no rotisserie but if you really want one a generic add on is available..
