I , on the other hand ..reached out on the facebook page ,and ended up having some good one on one chats with several people , including Paul .
Felt I might have gained a little from this outage.
Didnt go as far a joining another cebu forum, but seeing as its been mentioned,I might have a look around.

Best decision I ever made was dumping cable..  and NOT being able to get CNN or FOX into my day..  or even worse..  Canadian CBC with it's micro analysis of everything dearest baby Justin does. The silence was bliss.

Fortunately.. LINC has enough Filipino stuff that IS NOT about Donald or Hillary or dearest baby Justin that I did miss LINC while it was down.  Only once was I tempted to click CNN.com.. but I recovered quick enough to watch a YouTube video about sumo wrestling instead. Then another.. and another.  Here's one at the US Open for you.

I missed the humor.  I usually would get a couple of laughs in the morning to start my day out on a good note.

I missed not being able to reach Enuff's thread on building a house in Liloan. We are having a small house built for a sister and I had really wanted to show the images it to some people as well as print out the floor plans. I must have checked LINC 10 times a day for two days trying to get to that thread.

In general, since I am not living in Cebu, I like to check every couple of days to see if something of note has occurred.  (Storm, death or murder of expat, fire, progress).  The news we get from relatives is often just neighborhood gossip.

You know, it seems we take too much for granted.  I have been in the states for four months now getting probed, stuck, irradiated, magnetized, covered with sensors, and monitored.  The only way of keeping my sense of humor was by visiting this site.  When it suddenly disappeared, it was as if a member of the family had died.  Glad it is back.

Doesn't sound fun..... Hang in there.
