That's a small time, fast-food franchise like Arbys. It would be unreasonable for them to target 1500 or 4000 like McDonalds and Tim Hortons. The fact that neither you, nor I, think they will be successful in reaching that target is irrelevant with respect to the target they have publicly stated. Sales and marketing math is forever optimistic.
RickyL 197
Jollibee is not as good as Mary Browns or swiss chalet. To compete in Canada Jollibee would need a new menu.

They certainly can't change the menu too much as the core of the business is Filipinos, who would be really pissed off if they were to turn up at a Jollibee only to find that there's no chicken-and-rice, spaghetti, and banana ketchup. Just look at the pictures of the opening of the Milan Jollibee, the first and so far the only Jollibee in Europe. There was hundreds of people there, some of whom had come from the UK, Poland, and Russia. And not a single white face to be seen.
musicman666 1,961
So just to recap ...jollibee is the lowpoint of food in the philippines and only Filipinos fuelled by a healthy dose of Filipino pride and nostalgia plus a very sweet tooth will come back for more ...it sounds on the face of it to be a very dodgy business plan for its foreign locations to survive but somehow it just works ...go figure.
