I am sure it is a good tactic with dogs who are household pets.  No one ever tried it on my dog.  He was well fed and never ate anything that was not in his food bowl (spoiled brat) so I doubt it would work on him and now we will never know.  It would have been interesting to see you come over and try it.  We could have put a side bet on whether he would eat you or the food  :shit_stirrer::lmao:

Just teasing you.  It was an interesting article and thanks for posting.

Actually, about any Filipino with a bolo or machete could've killed your dog easily. My wife's Nanay had a large and "ferocious" dog - a guy in her neighborhood came over and killed it one night, then cooked and ate it.

So much for the myth that a "trained" dog isn't going to eat food given by a stranger:

Burglars poison dogs, break into Richmond police officer’s home

RICHMOND — Burglars broke into the home of a Richmond police officer last week, poisoned two of the officer’s dogs and escaped with a cache of guns and other personal items, police said Tuesday.

“We’re obviously very upset by this,” said Lt. Bisa French. “One of our own was targeted in this attack, and we think he was targeted specifically because he was an officer.”

French declined to identify the officer or the Richmond neighborhood in which he lives, citing safety concerns.

One of the dogs, a 1-year-old black Labrador retriever, died in a veterinary hospital the next day. The other, a K-9 dog in the police department, is recovering, French said.

French said the officer discovered that his Labrador was sick Friday morning and took it to the hospital. When he returned, he discovered the other dog, in a backyard kennel, was also sick and then noticed that his home had been burglarized.

The burglars made off with three “sporting guns” and two handguns, French said, as well as some other items she declined to specify.

“The dogs were poisoned to carry out the burglary,” French said, adding that the poison was hidden in food.

French said police are following up on leads but have no suspects.

“We are looking for the public’s help,” French said.

The Richmond police union and the police management union are offering a $10,000 reward for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the burglars.

The Richmond Police Officer’s K-9 Association is accepting donations to help with the veterinary bills, which French said total more than $10,000.

Rewards will also be given for tips that lead to recovery of the guns, French said, but did not specify how much.

I gotta hand it to you.  You go all the way when trying to prove your point.  I should also point out that 2 guys on a motorcycle would make short work of that dog if the backrider had a gun.

Oh yeah, a cobra bite would have killed him too.  An IED would blow a hole through a concrete wall.  Real smart thieves could climb a high tree and use a hang glider to get onto the roof and then come in through the metal roof.

Dang, it looks like nobody is safe these days

May be easier to just kidnap a family member and organise an exchange ...they leave the gate open and an exchange is made after you have been through the house and selected what you want ........or just purchase the property adjacent ......and .....tunnel your way in ...........

So what are the rules for building fences/walls on co owned properties? For instance,  three sisters co own a piece of property that they inherited, they all have built a house on thier allotted place on the property,  can one of the sisters build a fence/wall around her allotted piece of the property?
