Ferry To Mactan From Cebu City

Recommended Posts

Left at 11:30 am - took taxi to pier 3 - had a lot of packages - normally I would have paid for 3 or 4 in van - 80 / 120 P then 40 to inn

Taxi = 90 P + 10 P tip = 100 - 20 min

Ferry 14 P x 2 + 2 P port charge = 32 P - 20 min

Tricycle to sister's inn = 100 P - 25 min

232 P

Return

no taxi - took jeepny  - had nephew  with us  age 4  - 11 x 3 = 33 P - 25 min

Short walk to ferry

14 x 2 + 2 x 2 PC + 8 P = 40 P - 20 min again

Taxi back at 5:30  = 120 P 40 min

193 P

total = 325 total

She knows how I hate riding van and she dosen't like taking  the  taxi is about 400 / 450 P

Both times we paid - got on - boat left within 5 min

All in all the ferry is the way to go - actually rather pleasant - avoid traffic, hot / loud music / too cold van

When I rode it years back it was called the Metro Ferry..I always walked to the front of the line to the ticket booth because there usually is always a long line saying "Senior" with not a problem but I never asked for discount and never said citizen...hehe

Followed a few senior ladies up to the front ,thats how I learned....

Thanx  I have never tried the ferry... for me its the hassle of ... having to get in and out going to and from the piers that is a hassle.   Now if  I happened to be near Pier 3 and I needed to only go to OPON  ... I would consider.    My MIL  uses it all the time ...cause she has a tailor in OPON she likes.
