Torrential rain at night brings me...a limited crab catch come sunrise, neighbors taking refuge in my resto (they live like two feet above sea level). Decimation of the copra crop. Rice harvest wiped out. Landslides.

But yeah it sounds pretty on a tin roof I guess.

Or water buffalo shit. We got a lot of carabao and rice fields around here.

The shrooms also grow on the rice straw after a field's been harvested.

Scratch that...somebody turned on the faucet and my neighbors trike went floating by! At least it's been cool, had to put on a sweater the other day!

Not enough rain in Dumaguete. It's actually pretty dry.

Here in mid-Luzon also... the hills are brown and down in the valley they are pumping water into the paddies..we could use a couple day soaker... I would welcome it...settle the incessant burners for a few days anyway...that and fill my rain barrels...
