It's been that way for some time. I can change it if that's what everyone wants.

Or I can show you how to just change it just for you. There are several steps involved.

Why?

lf it says "Unread Content", then that is what one would expect

currently it is like turning on the tap marked "Cold" and you get "Hot Water ?

Going by those who say leave it as it is, haven't thought it through, perhaps it should be remamed "Unread Content which includes content already read" which is exactly what it is. :yahoo:

Well,  very often I want to check an old already read post with no new post

you can always see what thread contains new post it is in bold

threads that does not contain new post are not bold

so it is easy to see if thread has new or not

Doesn't checking "Content I haven't read" solve that issue ?

NO  It doesn't   :covfefe:

If we want people to be able to use this forum, It MUST be user friendly, or they will go elsewhere.

They will be gone quick smart if they have to delve into the inner working to get what they should have gotten by pressing a button that says what they want.

As usual, you have entirely missed the point. Not all members, especially the newer ones are aware of the finer setting.

I will put this more simply so you may understand my point

"If a button says something, That's what it should do"  Correct ??

As it is currently, The "Unread Content: Button may as well be removed as it doesn't do what it says

And here was me thinking that the improvements were all about making this site easier to navigate,

Guess I was wrong  :banghead:

I'd like to know how to set it so that I only see Unread posts when I click that button. I searched through my settings, but didn't find anything related to that...

they are called "unread posts" for a reason.   if you see them that ruins the mystery, and besides the only posts i'm interested in are mine :)

anyways lighten up today fellas.  it's sinulog morning so everyone gather up their lawn chairs and head for the parade and cheer me on as i'll be marching in my fancy foofie outfit doing my special sinulog dance.

Click your current unread content button. You should see something similar to the bar below.

Click on the read status (third from the left) and change it to content I haven't read.

Now do you see the small circle with a checkmark next to the words Unread Content.

Click it and it should turn green. That will reset your default Unread Content button.

That's it.
