I met Bud about 20 years ago when he lived in Cebu. Back then he was still "going 90 miles an hour down a dead-end street".

He has aged gracefully and slowed down his life!

I like Bud and like his videos.

LOL-watching/listening to that latest one and the cacophony of roosters and dogs, does NOT make me yearn to return to live there.

I like him and have been friends with him for quite a number of years.

He speaks 5 languages - fluently. He knew Spanish before he could speak English. Fluent in Spanish, English, Vietnamese, Tagalog, and Cebuano. He was a translator during his years of military service.

The Philippine trifecta: dogs barking, roosters crowing and someone unnecessarily burning something.

The dog shitting in the background is a bonus!

He speaks well of you too, but then he seems to like me so his judgement may be impaired :lmao:

He mentioned your help in one of his videos and the Linc forums

Thanks for that. I don't get to view many of his videos, unfortunately. If you happen to see it again, please forward it on to me.

That is barangay Tinago, just south of Rizal Blvd. A squatter area that you definitely don't wanna be wandering around at night in.  It's basically a labyrinth of snaking little alleys. Another great place to get in trouble in is Tocino country, another squatter area just north of Rizal.  Phil Prins, the American photographer/Foundation University teacher that was murdered outside of the old Zanzibar club was doing a documentary on Tinago.  He obviously wasn't able to complete it.

Yellow Cab Pizza. We always get their parmesan cheese hot wings in addition to the pizza.

Here is another video from Bud. He has a heart of gold.

Hopefully, he is able to do this sort of thing for years to come.

Where as you may think you are clever Bill , take it from me you are not , if this thread goes one ounce sideways , like the troublesome one we just locked , in which you were part of the cause , Bud Brown videos won't be screening for quite some time .....

I think if he wants to do this regularly and idea would be to talk to the cops at the local station, tell them what he wants to do and arrange to meet the street kids in the presence (se/ce?) of a police officer to hand out the stuff.

I love that he cares enough to do this but I also completely understand the risk that he 'is' taking.

That would be a bit of a PITA but really a good idea.  I'm sure he'd rather be more spontaneous but I'd hate for him to wind up spending his last years in a bad place..

Not clever. I just wanted to give it another chance to NOT go sideways. I truly think that Bud has a heart of gold, and I seriously doubt that he has anything to worry about. He is well known in his community for the good things he does, so it isn't likely that anybody would actually mistake what he does for anything evil. For that reason, I hope we can keep the discussion about risks out of this topic.

He seems like a great guy who enjoys helping the kids. I applaud his efforts.
