What are the hours of the USA consulate in Cebu?

Recommended Posts

I need to renew my daughter's US passport. She's 17, so I think she needs to appear. I don't know if the Cebu consulate has regular hours for that. Any advice would be appreciated. I have to go back to US mid December, so I hope I can get most of it done before I leave.

Thanks to all

I haven't found out if the US Consulate at Waterfront Hotel is still open- Has anybody been there recently?

There is a Social Security outreach there in November, if any body needs help with that

She's 17,

Uncle Don, this can't be the little girl JJ and I knew, when we use to visit you, is it? If so, my Lord, she has grown! She couldn't be that old yet!

We sent a client there about two months ago to renew a passport. Of course, now they are only open one week per month. He booked flights and hotel.  He went to the consulate, and filled out the paperwork, then was told he had to go to manila and pay the fee, as they had no cashier.

WTF. Don't waste your time there, was the lesson of the day.

That doesn’t make any sense. (the event not your comments)

Maybe some detail is missing. Like no cashier that day, etc.....?

I was there in November and this is what's posted. I asked the guard and he said it was accurate.

I don't see anything there that relates to the Cebu Consulate. At last report, they are only open a few days each month.

That is the sign outside of the Conulate at the Waterfront. We went to do a Passport and followed the Days/hours that we found on LInC. What was earlier posted was incorrect as they are open everyday except weekends, holidays and I think Wednesdays?

Sorry, just read it myself...very confusing!

We went on Monday and were too late to get in the queue...about 10AM. The guard told us to come back tomorrow which we were told they were closed but went early and were number 10 in line.

On the second page it says walk in services...I think those are the hours. But, earlier is better!

Thanks, I am reluctant to send anyone there again, after my last experience in doing so which I reported earlier in this thread. BUT, we have a client that wants to try, as he understandably hates Manila.

I had the impression that there were employees present but not a consular Officer.  So, some processes could not be completed.

There was a phone number that could be called, before open8ng hours after wading through a voice menu.  If they picked up, at least a question such as "are passport applications accepted" might get answered.

I am surprised the consulate even remains there these days.  There have been significant state department cutbacks recently.

I have two passport renewals to do, in person, so a Manila trip is not my first choice.

Hope you'll share the outcome of the client's efforts.
