Use it like a spermicide! :P B) With a sponge off the beach...haha ;) I heard they use lime and salt in Mexico! :(

That's probably why Mexico has problems with overpopulation. B)

And even funnier to me is that some have even mentioned abstinence! I really didn't think guys 'believed' in such methods! ;)

If they do, they're awfully good at pretending like they don't! :(

I don't believe in it for myself but it is fine if others practice it. :P

And the moderators expect the members to please read the rule and guidelines for the forum.

If someone gets out of hand we will deal with it accordingly. There is no harm in tasteful humor when dealing with serious issues.

I'm sorry I didn't thoroughly read the rules...and now I am wondering, is this only for filipinas to ask advice? Forgive me, if so, because I'm Amerikana... :welcome:

You did nothing wrong. Another member was just chastising people and telling them how to post and I reminded him of the rules. No biggie.

There are a lot of different kinds of contraceptive pills nowadays that doesn't cause any side effects at all. BUT, have a check up first because only your doctor can determine if you can take the pill or which kind of pill you can take. Your doctor will have to ask you of your and your family's (grandparents/parents/brothers/sisters') health background before prescribing you one.

  • The risk faktors are if:
  • You have a high blood pressure or have a tendency to do so
  • You or someone in your first-degree family has had a bloodclot or heart or liver disease before turning 50 years old
  • You are a smoker
  • You are overweight

So girls, consult your doctor first before buying The Pill!

A pill or home injection like Depo seem to be the most reliable....yet I heard Depo is quiet dangerous...and my gf heard this and wont take it.

Anything less than 98% is not good enough in my book anyway.

95% means 1/20 times she will get pregnant which means a couple of weeks for her and i...I really want 99.7% effectiveness if i can find it.

The morning after pill when taken twice supposedly can be 98%. Safety of course is essential. Wish we had a a specialist/pharmacist here on this.

I have been told the 2 safest methods of birth control are oral sex and abstinence.

Anal, oral, and hands, in my opinion.

I had a vasectomy, so birth control doesn't get much safer than that.

However, regrets may come into play, years after a guy (or girl) has done that.

Ok, so I have never ever used birth control...so far, so good. hehe. But I know I'm just lucky right now..or not. (I want lots of kids, just not now!)

Anyhow, what kinda methods are good and easily available there in the Philippines?

I'd sorta like something other than pills (heard of the side effects) and def. don't want injections or UIDs. And my man doesn't like condoms :D

Not sure what else is left? Help?

Ps. Does lime/kalamansi juice and salt really work? ;):D

Zipper padlock B)

There are + and - to every method. You should talk to a doctor to find out what would be best for you. Your BF should come along.

The IUD is the world's most widely used birth control.
