Waterfront Hotel Across From the Airport

Recommended Posts

I booked this motel on short notice and paid 80 american for 1 person . High end for me but i wanted convenience . Very good experience overall . The breakfast buffet was included and even had real cheeses , potatoes cooked perfectly , beans , ect . It was very good on local standards . There is a spa and gym . Room was big with great bed . Service at restaurant and front desk was perfect ...... But the very best thing was the walk to the airport in the morning . This motel promotes itself as being across from the airport but offers a shuttle ..... No need for shuttle unless you have lots of baggage . You walk out of the motel and the entrance for the international or domestic departures is literally a few hundred yards and 3 minute walk away ........... If you are coming to cebu for the first time (even otherwise) i would seriously consider staying here even on a budget . No dealing with taxis and traffic especially if your arriving after a long flight in the middle of the night . And you can book it much cheaper then the 4000 pesos i did and still get the breakfast included (expedia)

When I stayed there with a lot of luggage I just paid a porter 200 to bring 2 large suitcases over to the hotel.  You did not mention that the rooms are dingy and dated, needing renovation.  Have they been renovated now? (Not a complaint.  I would stay there again, but for the price I would think they should put something back into updating if they have not yet done it.)

Glad to hear the hotel is still good – I used to stay there at least once a month for a year at the beginning of our project 6 years ago (we moved to Radisson after a year or so). Your forgot to mention that there's a casino and a KTV/bar on the premises… Don’t know if they are still there though… ;)

I dont have high standards but did notice the room was pretty update and modern . And very clean. Probably hit and miss and i got lucky but something you could ask for ahead of time cuz might not be all rooms .That was another thing that stood out as positive . And i asked for a view and a bathtub (when i payed online ahead of time) and recieved both . Big screen tv with cnn . I ordered room service and got it in 30 minutes

Bar and casino still there . I think a regular duet of 2 pretty filippinas singing away . Had a beer at the bar and it had a nice vibe

Why do you call it a motel?

We have stayed there a couple of times, just for convenience.

First time we stayed was a really positive experience - smooth check in, professional friendly staff.

Second time was the polar opposite - we arrived just under an hour before check in. We were told that the room was ready, and just before we were handed the keys, some nitwit came over and said that we were too early and we had to wait until the correct check in time, or we had to pay a surcharge.

He could see that we had two toddlers in tow, as well as a pile of luggage, but was being a complete ass about it.

Anyway, we decided to wait it out - i couldnt care how much noise my kids were making in that lobby area that day.

Oh, and i thought that the breakfast buffet was pretty ordinary ( ranks a close second to the Bayfront near SM, which was the worst buffet ive had anywhere )

No-one was at the security gates when I entered; it's afternoon.

Cafe staff were too busy talking to each other and wouldn't respond unless you go to to them.

If you attempt to take a walk it'd be half a hour before you can find anything. No trees, no sunshade, all cars and roads.

That's it.

I don’t remember the price but another good thing is they have an excellent “Park and Fly” program… You could get the covered parking area… and free car wash… J
