My previous room had an individual PLDT wifi. No longer. Now all I have available is the unsecured hotel wifi with a universal (hotel-wide) password. Is this as safe as it is going to get for my Internet banking online?
I am here to gloat and to celebrate. My and my GF are living at her parents house, where she grew up in the middle of the jungle about 20 km away from the nearest major town. The village is in a valley with mountains about 200 m high on each side and we are effectively in a riverbed. NOTE: The SSID is the name you have given your local wireless network. This is the name that is broadcast to identify your particular WiFi network. Over the years, I have found a wide variety of SSIDs broadcasting on WiFi networks. I have two, actually. One on my modem / router, and one on my network router. Currently, they are Nope_Not_Yours and Not_Yours_Either. I used to have one broadcasting as "FBI Surveillance Van". Wanna share yours?
