  1. I am currently getting the paperwork together in preparation for acquiring an exit certification. While going through the checklist provided me by the local BI, under passport requirements, it said I needed a photocopy of the biopage, arrival date, CRTV STAMP, latest extension. I have all the documentation prepared, but for the life of me, I have no idea where this CRTV STAMP is located in my passport. Personally, I think this is a rather inconvenient hassle, especially having to travel to Cebu for certification. They have everything about me in the computerized system, including all of my visa extensions....isn't this a bit of overkill on their part. I realize they want their money, where money is due, but a quick look into the computer would supposedly clear that up. Do other countries require this much documentation? However, if anyone could fill me in on the CRTV STAMP question, it would be greatly appreciated.

    Passport Info

My passport will be up for renewal in a few months. I was wondering if I will need my original birth certificate, or a certified copy to do this...? Thanks, and hope everyone is having a great summer...!
  3. We needed to get a red ribbon power of attorney so the wifes sister can sign for something in the Philippines on our behalf while we are in the UK. Didn't much fancy the trip to London as we need to go next year for her and the nippers passport renewal. so we downloaded the form and filled it in, Reading the requirements we have to get it notarised, There is nobody locally that can do it but was recommended a solicitor 30 miles away, gave them a call and they want £100;00 to do it, Then we would have to send it to some place in London to have there signature certified, and then send it to the Phil embassy when we get it back, What a ball ache, so we decided to renew the passports a year early and do it all in one go So i took the day off work got up at 4am hit the road at 5am, we are in the west midlands, Got to the end of the M1 by 7:30, Took us another hour to weave our way around London to get to the embassy. Dropped the missus and nipper at the front door and went around the corner to park the car, £5:00 an hour, The missus had her ticket number and soon got called to the window, did the SPA first then the passports, Only thing they wanted to know was why we were renewing the passports a year early, the wife told them we didnt want to come back next year, so we do it all today, papers were sorted, but told we would need two prepaid registered envelopes and given a map to the nearest post office, sent to the pay window, paid the fees and told to go up to the first floor to the passport room, I went to fetch the two envelopes we needed, gave one to the girl at the first window we went to, went upstairs and the missus was just signing the two passport forms. pictures already taken, and we were done and out the door, Walked around to the car park. paid £10:00 for the parking, I was amazed we were in and out in under two hours, I had visions of paying £50:00 for parking, so we were on a roll, Till we hit the M1 and got stuck in a jam, took two and a half hours to do nine miles, someone decided to spread there motor home all over the motorway I was well impressed with the efficiency of the staff at the embassy, the SPA arrived yesterday one week later,
  4. I wonder how many people have had passport problems. Here is an example. 4yr-old uses dad's passport as coloring book, gets them stuck in South Korea
