Almost 18 months ago, Mikal posted this from a news article: It is just a matter of time that some domestic fights from the Visayas will land at the Clark International Airport (CIA) in Pampanga. Yesterday I received an email from PAL - my flight from NAIA to Masbate (in early December and only booked a week ago) had been cancelled and to standby for an update. The update came in fairly quickly - actually the same email - to say the flight was now departing from Clark (and my return flight in January was going back to Clark). Other than the airport and flight number, everything else

Manila dislodged as world's worst airport
contraman posted a topic in Airports, Airlines, Reservations & Ticketing
Philippines Daily Inquirer/ANN - After topping the list of the world's worst airports for three consecutive years, the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (Naia) has the dubious achievement of landing only fourth this year. "The Guide to Sleeping in Airports," the interactive travel site which has been sticking Manila's international airport with the world's worst airport tag since 2011, this year praised the Naia, particularly its Terminal 3, for the improvements that have apparently changed passengers' experience of the airport. According to the travel site's 2014 survey results poste -
I think this article from Philstar highlights the problems and why progress will always be slow. While the administration is doing its best to pull out the Ninoy Aquino International Airport from the pit reserved for the world’s worst airports, the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines controlled by Generals wants to make a great leap backward. Among the basic needs of an airport is a reliable easy-to-maintain close circuit TV surveillance system. (Remember when a mayor and three others were shot dead at the airport but its CCTV failed to document the killing?) Last April,
