Sending Money from the Philippines to Germany
Mauifever posted a topic in Sending Money To, From Or Within The Philippines
What is the best way to send/transfer money from the Philippines (I have a Filipino BPI Account) to a Foreign (German bank account). Is there an easier way than Western Union? Wise is supposedly only working From Germany to the Philippines. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance -
Well I'm in the market of finding a new bank after being with USAA for almost 20 years. What pissed me off you ask? Well, a while back I refi'd my home loan with USAA and set up an automatic payment plan. Among the reasons for the refi was to have a better oversight of this loan, the convenience of seeing it on my online USAA banking website. I like having all my bills in a one stop shop instead of dealing with 15 different website. Pressing on, I know banks sell loans like people change underwear and I asked them if/when they do this my automatic payments will still be made to the owning loan

Not having the best day of my life, but maybe I am getting a little paranoid. I have just been to the bank and noticed a person dressed in a Burqa being served. I say person as it could have been of Any Sex. Now if I had walked in with a Balaclava, my guess is that I would not have been served. Could be wrong

European bank to BDO wire transfer charges
trax posted a topic in Sending Money To, From Or Within The Philippines
Recently created a BDO bank account. I wired a small amount from my European bank to check how the whole thing works with the online banking and confirm all is smooth before sending a bigger amount. I'm just wondering how much you guys with foreigner banks are paying for a wire transfer. In my case, I had to pay 30€. The testing amount I sent was as little as 10 €. The thing is, I just received around php260. So, around 5,5 euro are missing and that can't be just the exchange rate. Do any of you know how it works with bigger amounts? -
I am a regular visitor to Cebu. Would like to start a bank account and put some money in the CD which pays a nice interest. I recall from a conversation with an foreigner in cebu you need to put in the equivalent of $10,000 to 12,000 for a few years. Yes? What ID is required? Best Bank? Risk of loosing money? Can I do this as a visitor? Pros and cons comments appreciated. Lorenz
