Wondering if  Condo owners here have taken a fire ,burglary, earthquake insurance for their unit and if so what are the yearly costs?

Hope you don't mind me piggybacking this thread Flakes, would also be interested.

Some in-laws have bought a condo "off the plan" in Cebu, and the contract states that they have to insure the property against " calamity" and other listed items in favour of the vendor, a large development company,  until the property is fully paid for. I asked the company for details of a reputable insurance company, but didn't get an answer.

I was only ever able to get fire insurance in Winland, the insurance brokers did an examination for earthquake insurance but would not approve it.

I think that banks such as BDO also offer fire insurances for houses and condos.
