soupeod 1,912 Posted February 27 I am planning a few trips this year to various destinations and have started the research to select a good bike for the Philippines trip wise.
RR3 314 Posted February 27 These scooter gangs behaving much better in traffic than this one 'big' bike gang who think they own the road. These are lead by a bike with flashing blue and red lights driving fast middle of the road and pushing other traffic out of way. Reckless driving is the word. Wonder if flashing blue and red lights allowed to other than emergency vehicles like ambulance/police?? As for which bike, depends on Your budget. Lots of nice bikes available.
+Dafey 6,842 Posted February 27 Budget is a primary consideration but terrain varies here in the Phils so you need to define, as close as possible, what kind of riding you intend on doing. Water cooled or oil cooled is on top of my list because of the heat We used to call a bike that was built for on and off road a scrambler. With the rugged roads and hills this is a good style here too Fuel injection...fuel injection...fuel injection. You don't want some side of the road guy messing with your carburetor. (unless you can do it yourself) Stiff suspension but comfy seat These are some of the things I look for. 3

Yea, that was what I was thinking too. A scrambler would probably work better here for all terrain. Thanks!
