  2. I am looking at each post on this thread to see what members have to say about software used in the designing and functioning of of a website. The guts as it were. Call it being similar to my attempting to use reverse-engineering. At the same time I have began to seriously look are the layouts of websites. This is to try to find find either a website are a small group of websites that possess those attributes and features I want to incorporate in my own website. I will create a mock-up of the main page first and then work on creating mock-ups on each associated page. This can be easily done by simply taking a 'screeshot' of a website or specific parts of websites. I can then use the Window's 'Paint' program to create my mock-ups, by pasting the image(s) to 'Paint' and then do the needed editing on the program. There I can manipulate the 'ssreenshot' images such as add windows, buttons, change or add borders, choose color schemes, add artwork, etc.. Once I have a complete mock-up it will be much easier when it does come time to start the coding. And since I will be designing the site myself I will already have a clear vision of the website long before the coding even strarts, and it will be much easier to stay focused once the coding starts. There will none of the difficulties of trying explain what it is that I envision. With luck I will have the mock-up completed sometime next month. Members who have been following my threads on the lobster hatchery projects know that I have also been working on a 3-part Youtube 'slideshow' video series. The first (90 min.) video was posted New Years eve, and the second video of the series is over 2/3rds completed with the slideshow presentation and the voiceover work. I believe I pretty much have all the remaining artwork needed for remainder of the slideshow completed, so all that is need is to complete the final 3rd of the voiceover. Then I only need to add the remaining slides and sync them to the voiceover. With luck that project (90 min.) presentation will be completed uploaded by the end of May. While doing this I will now also be working on creating the website mock-ups and reading up on the valued information that you have contributed in your posts. I have always been a prolific researcher so I will seriously read each member's post and begin researching your suggestions. There are differing of opinions as to GoDaddy, Wix and Blue Host. I looked at their sites and read their sales pitches, packages and posted award ratings and ? and they all sound good. Then I type 'issues with', 'conflicts with' and 'top 10 reviews' on Yahoo, Google, DuckDuckGo and Dogpile. What I see are these cited issues. They did have a rather significant system's meltdown (20i4), but it was supposedly resolved the issue and accepted blame (I can respect that). Thought For The Day

When I was two, I would pick honey bees off the flowers and eat them because they were sweet. Amazingly, I never got stung. When my daughter was two, she was playing educational games on a tablet, including turning the tablet on and off and selecting the games. It is a different world today than the world we grew up in.

Different countries don't go with the standard 17 digits depending on to which country they are intended. I had a Honda Steed intended for sale in Japan so the VIN didn't jive with the standard.
  19. 'Several' Americans among 207 killed in Easter Sunday bombings in Sri Lanka A string of bombings at churches, luxury hotels and other sites on Easter Sunday killed at least 207 people, including "several" Americans, in a suspected act of terror on the South Asian island of Sri Lanka. No one had claimed responsibility for the attacks by early Monday local time, though police said 13 suspects had been arrested. Defense Minister Ruwan Wijewardena said he believed the bombings were suicide attacks carried out by religious extremists. Authorities said at least 450 people were injured. "The United States condemns in the strongest terms the terror attacks in Sri Lanka on Easter morning," U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said in a statement released by the State Department. "Attacks on innocent people gathering in a place of worship or enjoying a holiday meal are affronts to the universal values and freedoms that we hold dear, and demonstrate yet again the brutal nature of radical terrorists whose sole aim is to threaten peace and security." Six nearly simultaneous explosions hit hotels and churches as worshipers gathered for Easter services in the cities of Colombo, Negombo and Batticaloa,. Hours later, there were two more blasts, one at a guesthouse that killed two people and another near an overpass in the area of Dematagoda on the outskirts of the capital of Colombo, according to a Sri Lankan military spokesman, Brig. Sumith Atapattu. “People were being dragged out,” said Bhanuka Harischandra, of Colombo, a 24-year-old founder of a tech marketing company who was going to the city’s Shangri-La Hotel for a meeting when it was bombed. “People didn’t know what was going on. It was panic mode.” He added: “There was blood everywhere.” In a ninth explosion, three police officers were killed during a search at a suspected safe house on the outskirts of Colombo when its occupants apparently detonated explosives to prevent arrest, authorities said. Names of the U.S. victims have not been released. At least 27 foreigners were among the dead in Colombo, according to Anil Jasinghe, director general of health services. Among them were two who were citizens of both the U.S. and United Kingdom. Other foreign victims were confirmed from Britain, China, Japan and Portugal. It's the deadliest spout of violence in Sri Lanka since the country's bloody civil war ended a decade ago. The island nation of about 21 million people off the southern tip of India has been relatively peaceful since the war ended, though its various factions continued to jostle for power. The majority are Sinhalese, mostly Buddhist. The minority Tamil are Hindu, Muslim and Christian. Christians, targeted in Sunday's attacks, have a lower profile than some of the other factions. The Sri Lankan government imposed a nationwide curfew from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. and blocked Facebook and other social media, saying it needed to curtail the spread of false information and ease tension. In his Easter Sunday message in Vatican City, Pope Francis noted the "cruel violence" of targeting Christians who had come together in prayer. “I want to express my loving closeness to the Christian community, targeted while they were gathered in prayer, and all the victims of such cruel violence,” Francis told a crowd of about 70,000 people in St. Peter’s Square. “I entrust to the Lord all those who were tragically killed and pray for the injured and all those who are suffering as a result of this dramatic event.” The first blast rang through St. Anthony's Shrine in Colombo. Alex Agileson, who was in the vicinity, said buildings in the surrounding area shook with the blast, according to the AP. A second explosion was reported at St. Sebastian's Church in Negombo, a Catholic majority town north of Colombo. Sri Lankan Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe condemned the attacks and warned against spreading unverified reports in a statement issued on Twitter. "I call upon all Sri Lankans during this tragic time to remain united and strong. Please avoid propagating unverified reports and speculation," he said. "The government is taking immediate steps to contain this situation." President Donald Trump tweeted his condolences to the victims early Sunday morning, initially stating that the explosions killed "at least 138 million people." The inaccurate tweet stayed up for about 20 minutes before it was deleted, and a new statement was issued with the same pledge to help and the accurate number of fatalities. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu expressed “deep shock” over the attacks and said, “The entire world must unite in the battle against the scourge of terrorism.” Contributing: The Associated Press https://www.yahoo.com/news/reports-multiple-explosions-rock-sri-045034012.html

    Places to Eat

Agree - took family (10 people - P 5,000) there soon after arriving - good food and large quantities - nobody went hungry 4 of us went yesterday (sister / BIL - they paid 1/2) VERY small portions, but lots of rice and poor prep. Had a 20% off coupon - Boodle + carafe of tea + extra tea for me = P 1,975 final bill plus good tip to servers who kept my glass of tea filled (P 135 unlimited - 8 glasses - got to be a joke who could fill it as soon as I finished) Squid was just barley OK, same with rest of food. Anyone who has seen my posts in 'ugly dinner' know I eat better than that at home every day. Not going back again
  21. Tried Vikings for the first time last month and was mildly impressed only by the numerous dishes offered. But many looked better then they tasted unfortunately. The key to getting a good table is making a reservation. Tried to do that online but that wasn't working so I called the reservation in and I'm glad I did! At least 20 people waiting around for a table at the dinner hour. One issue I thought was weird was when we were seated, the birthday person was asked to surrender identification. Well they didn't give it back until we payed our bill -- 1.5 hours later.

    Cebu Hotel Advice

Like Hyaku, I have stayed in countless hotels in the Fuente area too numerous to mention. But I would like to suggest two hotels that I have stayed in recently and I really like them -- so much so I could spend weeks there. First is ABC Hotel on Ramos (not as far down as Diplomat). Super clean and surrounded by eateries and convenience stores. Fairly new hotel which is always fully booked. Second is the Cebu R on Don Mariano Cui Street a few blocks north of the circle but considered the Capital district. The hotel only has about 40 units but are well appointed with walk in shower and box spring mattress. Breakfast also comes with the room and is decent. Book early because this property sells out.

Hi buddy. Long time no speak. I still have the contact details of a lass we nicknamed "Superwoman". Her place is on Via Rama. Go down V.Rama towards South Road and shortly before the junction of these two roads you will see a Shell gas station on your right. Immediately opposite is a side street with an emission test place on the corner. This is her place. Name of Mellie. Very efficient and will do everything for you. Registered many big bikes and cars with her. Still use her even though I live in Valencia now. Her number is 09235863888. Cheers - Barry
