    Lazada delivery

We use Lazada quite a bit living in the province. Some articles come through the Lazada warehouse and others are shipped directly from the seller or manufacturer. So we get shipments from NinjaVan, LBC, and Entrego. The larger items usually come through Entrego. We also order things directly from the seller of items and they come using LBC or AP Cargo. I do have to agree that LBC delivery service seems to have deteriorated considerably from what it used to be. Unless you track the package, you have no idea when they are coming. NinjaVan is great there are a couple of drivers that usually deliver here. After the first time for each, we haven't had to supply driving instructions. The company texts early morning, one text for each item being delivered, the driver also texts that he will be delivering and then calls when he arrives at the gate.

Computer Gaming - World of Warcraft (WoW)

I used to play WoW when the cap was 50, then 60, then ... 65 (?) and eventually 70. I dropped out after the Lich King patch. Arenas and Blizzard's continuous "rebalancing" ruined PvP ....
  11. I checked while driving and the last 200m have NO mandatory sings. This is the link to the google maps location, you can look around going straight to the intersection, no arrows on the raod and no mandatory signs. Just look it up in google maps, the large intersection with the seconds counter at the traffic lights. I tried to find any info on those ordinances or rules but nothing. So I will go there tomorrow and just let THEM show me the regulation that is valid there. The enforces said thez have CCTV there too, hopefully they can show me and I can get a copy too. But if they can't proof that I failed I will not pay anything. If they still insist I have to ay ok, then I will have to file a complaint because I dont support arbitrariness.
  12. I'm a bit tempted to get a new TV but our 34" Sharp Aquos is still doing fine except for one tiny column of black to the right side which I don't notice much. It's close to 10 years old and the only real feature I wish it had was a USB port. But I can play stuff from my Laptop to it via HDMI so there is a work around. I don't think we use it enough to justify right now but if they install the fiber connection they claimed they were going to 2 weeks ago, that might change.

    Need a good electrician

Would be grateful for recommendations of a good electrician in Cebu City. Need some circuits checked out due to intermittent power fluctuations. We are in Banawa. Thanks for any assistance.

One thing Fred and I learned in that case was, don't inform other foreigners and don't trust anyone. There is always someone who is willing to help and guide "innocent" pedophiles.

    Lazada delivery

Yes I use Lazada a bit. I live in the deep provinces of Mindanao and we have had great service from Ninja van who deliver in much the same way as you guys describe. However Lazada continue to use LBC, we pay for door to door delivery and should we see that LBC is the carrier one of two things happens. We never hear of the article again until we get the refund saying the item was not delivered, or we get a phone call saying we need to pick it up 40 kilometres away. I'm in a wheelchair and Cathy is full time Uni so that makes it very expensive as we have to get someone to pick up authorisation take it to LBC and delivery back to us. We have talked to Lazada support and they continue to use a service that makes for a lot of disgruntled customers. By the way LBC used to be great as well only in the last two years it has gone downhill

    Lazada delivery

Much the same story, "Dexter" is our regular delivery person and as he has been here on many occasions he texts me about 30 minutes away. We had a parcel a little bigger than a scooter could carry only last week. I got a text requesting accurate location from the van driver. I've said this before on linC,, as we are seniors Lazada takes a lot of beating.. Sent from my Redmi Note 3 using Tapatalk

  21. A coastie? This is a bit of a rare photo of my namesake uncle. He was Navy all the way from the time he was a small boy. One problem though, try and try and try, he could not swim. The Navy wouldn't take him. On November 7th, 1941 he joined the Coast Guard. (The same day my Dad was commissioned in the Marine Corps) One month later, the Navy dropped the swimming requirement and he was on his way to the Pacific. The next 37 years he wore a Navy uniform serving in WWII, Korea, and Vietnam. RIP Senior Chief Boatswain's Mate Loudon!

    Lazada delivery

Yesterday I ordered a few things from Lazada because of their Veterans Day sale. About 11AM I ordered a Makita hammer drill. I've been relying on a Ryobi cordless it's getting harder and harder to charge batteries for it. As a backup I have a Chinese hammer drill I bought at at Makro 8-9 years ago and it gets stuck in hammer mode. I have to take it apart to get back to drill mode and one of the screws is stripped. I also like that the Makita has hammer only mode for chipping tile or whatever. Just got a call from the delivery guy. So less than 30 hours. (They usually come a little after lunch.) Nice. That's even faster than the memory chips I've ordered which come in about 2 days. Do you have a Dexter? One great thing about Lazada is they txt you the name of the delivery guy and many of them seem to be assigned to certain areas which makes sense so they know the area and the people who use Lazada. It's a PITA to explain how to get here so after Dexter came a couple times I noticed he wasn't asking for directions and I remembered his name. Now if a newb is looking for directions I just tell them to ask Dexter and it works like a charm.

    Thought For The Day

A thought for Today: Choosing a woman to be your mate is not really as difficult as you might think. Watching a woman eating fruit is the key to the right choice Today’s thought... choose the woman who looks at a banana when she eats it.

Good morning! I recall that you mentioned that you were thinking of having solar panels installed at your house on Camotes. Did this happen and can you please tell me where you got your  solar panels from?
My wife and I have a house on Camotes and we are interested in installing solar panels on our roof.
      Thank you in advance!

Just thought I would drop by and say hi (finally remembered my login  )
Just a quick update and to report that rumors of my demise have been grossly exagerated.
While I will never be back to 100%, I am doing quite nicely, or better than expected
There are several things I am not able to do and one is to fly for more than about 4 hours due to cabin pressure, and that really pisses me of as the Philippines has been close to me for nearly 50 years.
The other is I can no longer play the piano, which was my means of relaxation and stress relieving.
I strongly believe that being active, in good health and reasonably fit has enabled me to get back this far.
BTW, I am 82 in a few months and going better than many younger than me.
      Cheers and Keep safe guys
