Really enjoyed  DUNKIRK  at the theatre IMAX (regular seats not avail)  ..    Classy war movie with great flying  scenes if you are into  Spitfires ant stukas .  Gritty. well done, well acted.

It came, It saw, It conquered.

The film adaptation of Stephen King's chiller novel shattered box office records with a whopping $117.2 million during its opening weekend, according to Variety.

The R-rated horror movie scared up the third largest opening weekend of 2017, behind Beauty And The Beast and Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2.

It crushed the record for largest September opening set by Hotel Transylvania 2 in 2015 with $48.5 million.

And it's also the biggest opening weekend banked by a horror or supernatural film, with its $62 million overseas giving the movie a $179 million global take. That's a huge return on its $35 million budget.

Bill Skarsgard stars as Pennywise the Clown, who terrorizes children in Derry, Maine.

The young cast includes Jeremy Ray Taylor, Sophia Lillis, Finn Wolfhard, Wyatt Oleff, Chosen Jacobs, Jack Dylan Grazerand Nicholas Hamilton.

Wind River, starring Jeremy Renner and Elizabeth Olsen, rounded out the top five with $3.2 million after six weeks on release for a local haul of $25 million. It has yet to open internationally.

It's a little hard to watch in places so be ready for that, but it's a damn fine show.
