Here is a pdf file of the Cebuano Language Objectives book originally written by the Mormon Church, which was used in training to teach new missionaries the language prior to them coming to the Philippines, in hopes of converting others:

Hey! I used this back in 2004-2006 when I was a missionary. I have the Ilonggo version as well (Hiligaynon, for Negros Occ and Panay) if anyone is interested, I could scan it up. The best way to learn though and become fluent is just to talk to everyone and use as many words as you know. If you don't know the word, ask them right on the spot and they will be happy to let you know. I became fluent in Ilonggo and it wasn't uncommon for me to have entire conversations with people where they would speak english and I would speak Ilonggo / Cebuano. Baliskgad gyud!

Hi, Elder Bradford. i'm currently a resident of Bacolod. My wife is a Filipina who is a Relief Society President in her ward in Bacolod. You mentioned you had an Ilonggo (Hiligaynon) version which I would find very useful if you could kindly allow me access to it.
Salamat kag Maayong hapon Derek - a Brit enjoying the sunshine and food.

Why not use a tape recorder, then try to talk back in Cebuano? And don't worry about the Aussie accent, you'll soon sound like a native buying mango or coconut at Carbon market. :)
