PhilHealth for foreigners

174 posts in this topic

Remember!
Foreigners living in the Philippines can get Philippines, also single with tourist visas.
The requirement is that you are "permanent tourist", in other words that you live here . This can be proved by lease contracts and stamp in your passport.

But when I signed up, I used only my passport and ID card from BI (ACR).
This had to be copied and submit with my application (PhilHealth Member Registration Form).
Then I paid for 6 months, 900 pesos.(150 per month now)
Everything took about 40 minutes.

Your parents (over 60) and children (below 18) are covered by your insurance(no extra payment), but they must also be living here and be listed in your insurance.

Yes, I have been listed on my wife's Philhealth as a dependent since we were married along with our kids, no extra charge.

Never used it personally though, but it was helpful when my wife gave birth, we saved around 30% all up.

I paid 2400 for two years. The wife, daughter, In-laws all on the one application.

Mother in-law was in hospital for one month. Room with aircon 600. Philhealth covered 500 of that, all medical expenses and some of the Med.

Is your ACR/ Visa a tourist visa?

Yes, you can have it as a turist, BUT you need to live her!

I have done this with 3 other tourists as well. Nobody asked for additional documents as evidence that they lived here. They see it in your passport.
