After a couple months of on and off searching I've finally found a new apartment I'm really happy with.

As there are several more available I'd thought I'd post and share - just in case others may also be looking.

I'm just purely sharing info here (no other motive like commissions, or spams).

Apartment block is brand spanking new near Shopwise and McDonalds in Mambaling (nearby is Tisa and Labangon).

I found it on craigslist. There are 13 apartments left and 6 parking spaces.

If you're interested just roll up there and check it out. There's an on site manager w/ staff Mon-Sat.

Here's some details and pics:

Its a good price for that location but I am not seeing any holes for air conditioners.  Is it an easy install or do you need to cut your own hole?

They are unfurnished apartments.

Holes are there in the 2 bedrooms for window type units.

The main entrance area, which also has the kitchen has no window so no, no holes there.

Sorry no pics of bedrooms - these pics from the craigslist listing I copied.

I actually saw this advertisement online and I think it were the same apartments. I tried to go there with my bike but never arrived, couldn't find it, even with a Filipina on the back (but who didn't speak Cebuano).

One red flag I see is the demand up front for 4 months rent on a 12 month lease. Anyone else think that's out of line?

Newish appartment, farther away from the Cebu City core but good for someone who wants to be on the south side.

And the longer you stay, the more stuff you accumulate and have to carry around.  But if you like the place then no need to move.  It is an apartment building, not a house that someone is likely to sell out from under you.

Not being a city dweller I fail to comprehend how you could squeeze two bedrooms and a bathroom into a 40 sqm space.

That's a recipe for insanity.

I can't really tell by the photos, is the window over the kitchen sink opening to a hall? A few other pics show windows opening to interior areas, evidently. I'm guessing more for egress than anything else. Is there really a building code here? I'd like to have a look at that thing!
