Mandaue Nursery has everything you could want that will grow in this climate

I don't know exactly how to describe where it is. It's like a 20 hectare government thing in the middle of manduae. Most taxi drivers know how to get there. It's across the street from this run down looking mini-mall. Perhaps someone else can give directions.

Department of Agriculture is across the north highway from Super Metro in Mandaue. They have live basil and other herbals. They also sell many types of trees and ornamental plants.

I bought a small pot of hydroponic Thai basil in SM Angeles and planted it out. Within 3 weeks it was growing crazy so I pined down a few branches and now we have more basil than we know what to do with.

SM had many kinds of herbs, not just Thai basil.

for some herbs like basil and tarragon you might consider seeds. basil is ridiculously easy to grow from seed (at times available at sm or some mall-based hardware stores), i have about 10 plants in various stages of growth right now. more than i can put to use so i let the snails munch on what i don't use. tarragon is also easy to grow although the seeds are harder to find (got mine in the u.s.). put a fresh sprig of tarragon in some honey-lemon tea and you have a whole new ballgame. it be good...
