Hi,
nice to meet you all here!
My name is Piet and am from Holland, where I am still living atm.
Planning to move to Cebu in the future, so this forum is a great help for me.
I got a call from a mobile number +9992237, supposedly from Manila.
I have searched wiki, and every possible website, and can not find who operates these network digits.
Maybe one of you knows?
Or did a new operator, besides smart, globe, etc. start very recently?
Thanks,
Piet

+63 is the country code. If it was +63 999 2237. The first three being 999 is called an ANI. The number was manipulated by the provider. Either through a blocked number or the service provider blocked it.

This will probably explain it, it is called spoof caller id

http://en.wikipedia....ler_ID_spoofing

There are programs out there that anyone can make a call seem like it is coming from anyone. Never trust a caller id displayed number.
