Flood Prone?

I plan to drive this Friday from Mactan to Moalboal to break in my new Miata.

But since "Odette" is coming, my question is whether the roads and areas on the way to Moalboal are prone to high floods?

I guess that depends on how much it rains and what route you are taking and what construction is going on that day but I'd take the chance.  If it was me I'd go south to CarCar, across to Barili and south to Moalboal.

Last month, during some heavy rains, I got though in a small car OK (How small?  Well the cat has to duck to get under it and I don't have enough clearance to park where they put those stupid concrete blocks at the front as my bumper skirt will scrape).  But you never know when there's gonna be a construction or landslide or some other problem so cross your fingers and go for it.

Having had two Miata's over the years and having been around Cebu City for a number of years, I would say it is best to not go out driving around in it on any heavy rainy days.

Enjoy your new car, they are fun to drive except in heavy rains.

I'm staying the night at the Asian-Belgian Resort and Google Maps draws the route you suggested. Thanks.

Speaking of cats; I found one this morning lounging on the soft top. It doesn't look like he sharpened his claws on the cloth but now I have to buy a cover.

You do know Your resort is in BasDako (White Beach). All action, night-life is in BasDiot, Panagsama. Good You have wheels. But no good driving night time.

RR3, I didn't know there was "action and night life" in Moalboal.

Oh well, I'll probably be tired from diving (weather permitting) anyway.
