you do need to keep it out of direct sunlight to avoid overheating / damaging  gel

Arrrrgh.  Good thing I read that.  My bedroom is upstairs and gets hot as hell during the day but the aircon cools it down just fine at night.  Now I'm thinking the heat of the day will heat that gel and it will be putting out heat instead of sucking it out of my body.

Do I have that right?  Is your room particularly hot during the day?  How does the mat stay cool when the room is not air conditioned?

No 19 th floor always a breeze / no sun after about 9 am - was 87 in condo at 4 pm and 92 on street with 102 heat index

As long as it is less than your  body temp will suck out the heat - works even better with A/C on  - can use less

Gets down to about 77 at night up here put fan in balcony doorway
