I hope U R training a young man to do that in the evening. 30+ is too hot to do heavy work in.

I don't know the area you live in, so my suggestion may be useless.  A lot of times I see piles of cut wood being sold in bundles alongside the road.  Often part of a sari sari operation.  However, even bakeries use large quantities of cut wood for wood fire ovens (great for baking cookies etc). 

Point is, perhaps you can find a supplier of wood for smoking. 

Most of the wood here is cut using normal sundong knives, as a splitting tool. Rare to have larger trees needing a splitter.
