I am looking for a maul for splitting fire wood. Has anybody seen one on your trips around the country? Preferably Cebu, but if I can get it shipped, location doesn't matter.

That thing looks like it needs some Mexican power to run, Manuel Labour.

It actually worked very well. Used to split oak, beech and pine without too much trouble. If it was extra knotty i used to use a twisted steel wedge. For stuff that was un -splitable i just chainsawed it lengthwise!

I welded a couple of old axe heads together to split some coco wood I had laying around...worked pretty good but was a lot of work compared to a chain saw

Thanks all. I broke down and ordered an 8 pound maul through Ebay, a 10 pound sledge from Lazada, and my wife got two 5 pound wedges from home depot and stuck them in a BB box.

Probably cheaper and faster to show the pictures to a local machine shop.  Belmont has sledges.  Buy 2 and have 1 cut to a wedge.
