The Bureau of Immigration (BI) announced today the arrest of an American wanted by federal authorities for murder and other serious offenses.
BI Commissioner Jaime Morente said 28-year-old Yoshikoson Umeko Haddon was arrested Tuesday in Subic, Zambales by agents of from the Bureau’s Fugitive Search Unit (FSU).
Morente said he issued the mission for Haddon’s arrest after being informed by the US Embassy that the fugitive’s passport was already revoked by the State Department, thus making him an undocumented alien.
He is now detained at the BI Detention Facility in Camp Bagong Diwa while awaiting deportation.
According to Morente, a US District Court in Virgina issued a warrant for Haddon’s arrest in September last year.
He was reportedly charged with capital murder, killing for hire and solicitation of adult to commit felony.
Haddon will be placed in the immigration blacklist after he is deported to prevent him from returning to the Philippines, Morente said.
“US authorities have described him as a dangerous felon, thus his continued presence here poses a serious threat to public safety,” the BI Chief added
