A lot of us did the same way back in 1968 - except we used 2 foot lockers with a board as a desk  and the locker for our gear to hold up one end -  in an area   6 W x 7 L x about 8 H

lovely but I have been warned by several members about sleeping on sofa-bed. If I'm to use it, I'd need a foldable mattress? But good foam mattresses are not foldable. Need special types?

Not really, there is an "Ikea Store" in Makati but they are, I think, just an importer of Ikea products - selections are limited - a small 4-story building and not the size of a regular Ikea store...

Not yet, don't you remember though I posted that they do have plans for Manila - mostly everyone was excited, a few were not lol.
