  1. Did you make sure to buy the uncooked Johnsonville brats that come on a styrofoam tray or box if larger quantity, not the precooked brats that come in resealable ziplock plastic? There is a big taste difference between them.
  2. It looks like Beat reopened in a new location. Some tarps are now on the closed place pointing towards a new spot. I didn't stop and follow, but it looks like they pointed to the back side of the building, behind the Irish Pub.
  3. The owner of Howling Dogs said something about the Mango Square owner not renewing leases and trying to clean up the area in hopes of the Horizon condo developers across the street buying the place. I'm not sure if thats 100% the real story or not, but last time I went on a Saturday night it was dead compared to a year or more ago. Just in the past couple months Beat closed, Alchology closed, the old Hype building has been demolished, J.Ave opened a new spot in North Reclamation area and their Mango location will be closing from what I have heard.
  4. I meant the office in Mandaue where they are suddenly taking 3 days for visa extensions after losing their extra cash. They were not working overtime to process visa extensions before. Have you watched how many "express lane" fees they collected every time you were there? Thats a whole lot of "overtime pay".
  5. When did you ever see the BI office open extra hours and weekends?
  6. Diet Mountain Dew has been around in the USA since the late 1980's.
  7. It is everywhere in the USA. I see zero calorie versions of Coke, Pepsi, 7-Up, and Sprite often here in the Philippines, but only regular Mt. Dew for some reason.
  8. Has anyone seen Diet Mountain Dew for sale in Cebu?
  9. I'm in a building with garbage rooms on each floor and in a unit next to the room. I have never noticed any smell, roaches, ants, etc... even inside the garbage room. The trash cans are emptied often.
  10. Did they say why? Other than "Its more fun in the Philippines"?
  11. The same policy is in the Qantas Conditions of Carriage...
  12. So.. Theft = No Bail But.. Frustrated Homicide with an Illegal Firearm = p144k bail if you're a rich local.
  13. They had p2000 of Starbucks delivered for lunch in a recent news story that I read...
  14. Skimming usually involves stealing the pin through either a keypad overlay that looks the same as the real one or a hidden camera.
  15. True that they don't give a lot of fries with the burgers. I believe they sell a bigger side of fries separately. Their default burger patties are quarter pound/4oz with a 6oz option and a double burger option for either size. Speaking of Whopper, the new Burger King on Mango in the old 7/11 spot looks like it should be opening soon.
