  1. I always find cellphone screen replacement a satisfying job to do myself. A screen for iPhone 5 cost around 350 peso at Aliexpress, small screwdriver tools included. Downside is the delivery time, around 3 weeks. In YouTube are many many howto guides . I fixed around 20 phones, mostly Samsung, but some iphones too Only had 1 failure, not a phone but a tablet. The tricky part is the cable connection, it's very small and I need magnifying app on my cellphone to check if it fits correctly. I Can't do it for him.. I will be back in Cebu in July or August.. 2. Well, i guess its true: I tried, and after i took the lid off the pan, the frog was dead as a door nail, and steaming hot. on topic: in the house in rural Cebu where i stay for a few months a year i never felt unsafe. I hope that when i retire in a few year from now, and go live there full time, i will keep that feeling.
  3. Topic is "cost of living ", not cost of dying Sent from my SM-T310 using Tapatalk
  4. Cotabato city is mentioned there : http://travel.state.gov/content/passports/en/alertswarnings/philippines-travel-warning.html
  5. Yes, more foreigners visited Tawi Tawi. Like the Swiss man Lorenzo Vinciguerra and the Dutch man Ewald Horn in 2013. They both were kidnapped. Lorenzo Vinciguerra managed to flee and escaped, after 2 yrs in Dec. 2014. Horn is still being held there.
  6. No need for that. Travelers are allowed to skip fasting on their travel day. There are more exceptions, lick pregnant women, sick people etc.
  7. This is Cathay economy [url=http://www.cathaypacific.com/cx/en_HK/travel-information/inflight/travel-classes/economy-class/economy.html]http://www.cathaypacific.com/cx/en_HK/travel-information/inflight/travel-classes/economy-class/economy.html[ /URL] Edit : Oops.. Sorry for the messy URL... How to fix?
  8. Yes I agree, not much leg space, maybe the target customers of Cathay are smaller people of Asian ethnicity. I'm not too big too, just under 5.7 and just over 140 lbs so I'm fine in the Cathay economy seats. I found it very comfortable that the person in front cannot limit my space by adjusting the seat to the back, so I don't avoid Cathay. About the pillow : inflatables are no good, but a good gel seat pillow can be very comfortable, even a thin one. Me I don't need pillow in plane bcoz I'm not heavy weight, but I used them in long distance rowing, they are amazingly comfortable.
  9. I flew Cathay as well as Asiana long haul, always economy. I never experienced sore butt. But I liked the Cathay seats more because the person in front of you can't put the seat to the back. You can adjust the angle of your seat by sliding the cushion in its shell. Asiana has old fashioned seats, but I doubt if they are harder. Just bring your own gel or cold foam cushion.
  10. Even they made serious money by selling the Alibaba shares, I can't blame them to stop non profitable activities. Who uses yahoo maps anyway, they are blown away by google. It's not only in Philippines, but European countries too. http://yahoo.tumblr.com/post/120700756894/q2-2015-progress-report-on-our-product
  11. Red tailed rat snake . The name says red tail, but they have grey and brown tails too. Non poisonous snake, no need to kill
  12. Yes, that's correct.
  13. Aside from the huge file size, Vimeo Basic account members can upload Max. 500Mb a week.

  15. Colonnade supermarket is my personal favourite. but only because the of the funny Star Wars sound effects when the cashiers scan the barcodes .
