  1. I also felt it, but it's still not mentioned in the PHIVOLCS website edit: now it's there: 21 Mar 2017 - 03:41 AM 10.58 123.70 15 3.4 002 km N 83° W of Asturias (Cebu)
  2. Metro Supermarket in Ayala, right side when you come from the main access to the supermarket. near the frozen food
  3. have seen the first BPI ATM in seaside today, placed in 3rd level. it's a simple red machine, only at the screen you can see it's a BPI
  4. have just received a SMS from Globe: As part of security measures during the Sinulog Festival, our signal will be blocked on Jan 14 and 15 in Cebu City, Talisay, Lapu-Lapu and Mandaue, and in Consolacion, Cordoba, Liloan and Minglanilla. Call, text and mobile data will be unavailable on these dates. This is in compliance with the directive of the National Telecommunications Commission. We'll continue to send updates on the unblocking of signal. Please follow @Talk2GLOBE on Twitter. Thank you. so not only the area near the Sinulog festivities will be affected, but a much wider area.
  5. what an increase.... and for sure this will not be the final amount they want to spend for the BRT. i have my doubts.........there have been more announcements before, as I remember one was that the BRT will start operation in 2014
  6. most of you have been sleeping at this time...
  7. the video is taken in Talisay (near fish port). Cebu begins behind that small bridge, seen almost at the end of the video. from thereon is the 40 km/h speed limit which nobody takes seriously.
  8. have seen him twice in SM City within a month. he really lost weight. last time he just bought a package of bred sticks or something similar at French Baker
  9. http://www.sunstar.com.ph/cebu/local-news/2016/11/01/australian-and-his-partner-arrested-lewd-acts-507003 this is typical for Filipino journalism - almost all personal details about the foreigner: name, age, nationality, type of car, just the plate number is not given. and the partner involved is just simply a Filipina woman. never mind what that old guy has done, but this is a way to discriminate a foreigner. anyway, I was amazed this morning when reading that story because I thought that a Toyota Hilux has shock absorbers that would prevent the car from shaking in that situation.....
  10. I bought a STAMM bodyfit x-tech about 6 months ago in Metro Ayala for 8.000 PHP, using it twice a day since. I am very satisfied with it and it's a good value for that price, compared with the other models standing around there. assembling took me one hour (tools included). it is made in China, but all text on the box and the assembly instruction is in German, only the description for the computer is in English. as I am thinking you are a German here is a link for that model: http://sportgeraetetest.de/stamm-bodyfit-x-tec-billiger-heimtrainer-der-uberzeugt/.
  11. in a former wikipedia article was written that the BRT system could be operable by end of 2014. now there is an updated article from Oct. 07 about the Cebu BRT, but it is too long for copy/paste "The project is expected to start on the last quarter of 2016 and will finish within 2 to 3 years or in 2018 or 2019" https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cebu_Bus_Rapid_Transit_System
  13. it is a pity that mybus does not have a proper information system or a website. additional to the above mentioned bus routes there is an "express servive" from Lawaan to Parkmall, not stopping at SM seaside this service is at least every full hour (as I have used it several times at full hour). in the bus was a schedule valid from July 18, but I could not read it from my place. the bus from Lawaan to SM seaside or vv goes every 20 minutes, 00 - 20 - 40 - 00. there are monitors at SM seaside with the schedules and posters, but what I am missing are some handy flyers from the bus operator. btw. I like to ride these buses.
