A few months back I told you guys about the German dude lives next door to our land I bought, currently my bro-inlaw and his family are living there. When my bro. inlaw first moved in, the German dude started to complain about the smell of the food they cook so we moved the outdoor grill far away from his house. Things were quite for a while until recently the G. dude started claiming the parking spot in front of our place because they just bought another car and they have a tricycle business so there's no more room in their yard, one day the G.dude and his Filipina wife were outside pouring cement for the parking spot and my sister inlaw came out and ask what they're doing, the wife started giving my sister inlaw shit, she started bragging how much money she and her German husband make each month like 200,000P and they have 3 lawyers so there's nothing we can do about it. They also ran a drainage pipe from their house to that parking spot and our land always wet because of that. when my nieces and nephew playing outside, the G.dude would spray water at them because he doesn't want them near his new car. The poor people in the neighbor are afraid of these couple because they have money, my inlaws told them we will get a lawyer if we have to and now the poor neighbors are happy that someone is fighting back.

Our friend came over one day and he parks his company car on that spot and the G.dude came out and told him to move the car, they got into a big argument but our friend gave up and moved the car because he doesn't want the G.dude screw with his company car, he could've beat this G.dude up easily because he is much younger, the G.dude is about 65 y.o.

These are arrogant people who have money and think they can just bully the poor and thinking they can get away with it. My inlaws are going to the barangay captain tomorrow and make a complaint so we'll see.

Hey man, I didn't do it.

I'm sure someone would shoot the guy sooner or later; or maybe you'll get lucky and his wife will do it for you.

IMO, go fry stinky fish on the grill every night at 9PM. He'll be well in bed by then.

Fill the end of the drainage pipe with cement. After all it isn't on their property. Send him a notarized letter thanking him for pouring the cement pad for your car and stating that he does not have you permission to use your property in any way.

Have ALL of the neighbors go to the barangay captain and file complaints about the German guy. He will either get the message and play nice...or he won't be able to extend his visa next time he goes in. Barangay captains can file complaints with the Bureau of Immigration that will cause the guy to end up on the black list. This guy is stupid, and should treated as such.

Oh, and I would hire a crew to remove the concrete AND the pipe. If you allow it to remain, then he de facto "owns" your property. That is why there are so many squatters in this country. You have to remove them immediately or suffer the consequences.

Interesting situation. Seems like the tables have turned for once...Filipinos complaining about a foreignor neighbor.

If you talk to the German guy directly, and get his side of the story, things might seem different to you. Filipinos have a nasty habit of exaggerating.

It seems you live in the USA. So, I'd get the guy's phone number and call him. I wouldn't resort to less than honorable tactics.

I totally agree with all of the above. If 40 angry locals (Votes) walk into the Barangay Captains office complaining about a German (non voter), things will happen.

I also agree with having the pad and pipe removed and plugged. I'd also move the grill back to his bedroom window.

It is Chi's house and the German neighbor has encroached on his property (and is lowering his property value, I might add). What other "side" to this do you see? The guy is pushing to see what he can get away with. I would say he has already gone way too far. If it isn't stopped now, it will be way too late by the time Chi and Mellie come to Cebu to live permanently. This is not some squatter's hut we are talking about. Chi and Mellie have a really nice home. By the way, Chi is NOT a Filipino. As for Filipinos exaggerating, that sounds like a personal perception to me. Most Filipinos I know will either not say anything at all for fear of stirring up trouble or (at some point) give it to you straight. Usually, by the time they say aomething, they are already upset because they held it back for too long. It's a cultural thing.

One if the land is mine, his car is gone. I would get a survey done on my land then take them to court to collect back rent. I would then build a dirty kitchen and cook anything that smells horrid and play loud Okinawan Opera 24/7 and when they complain, explain that if they want you to stop what you are doing on your land, then put their big money where their big mouths are and purchase your land. If he were to touch me I educate the PUNK. I would make their asses such a hell that they would beg me to stop, then I would turn it up more. This Fag and his stuck-up bitch just has not encountered the right people. You fight fire with dynamite, or just allow yourself to keep being burn.

And before the forum fags start posting, "James that is wrong, crap, you must be nice and take it like the bitch I am." This is this man's property that this German Ass is pushing his crap onto. His ass can be beat down, his damn business can be burned, and his home can be torched with their asses still in it.

I will give you the shirt off my back, if you are kind and fair with me; but I will also carve the skin off your backs, if you rather make me your enemy, and frankly would not loose a single night's sleep. That is what fags here need to understand, some are best left alone, we don't care how big you think you are, or how much money you think you have, or how many lawyers you claim you have. You can just disappear. :baseballbat:

I agree with the barangay captain route as well. At the place I used to live they did the same for the bad neighbor across the street from us and he had no choice but to comply... and i doubt that was more than a few people who complained.

Its a slippery slope...once you let a guy walk all over you...he will take you as a door mat...happens in work place, with girl friends, friends and neighbors. Filipinos are very non-confrontational and are tolerant and they let go of things we wouldn't give second chance.

If a Filipino complaints...know that something is very serious....we can do any stuff we want...did they ever complain? I have done stuff in the PH...if i do that back home...i will get a black face from everyone around me.

No amount of lawyer will solve this problem..i can bet my last dollar..some people are wired that way to be insensitive, exactly the way we are sensitive to other people needs. No amount of logic and explanation will work...you are on the right side and feel injustice, happens all the time.

Your only way is to as some members suggested to give a physical response to what he is doing at first in reverse...however, if he continues his way...which more likely he will...i dont know you have to take some extreme steps to put some sense in his mind.

There are 100's of movies made on this exact situation :) and it always ends in violent explosion..when a guy can't take it anymore..i hope it does not end like that....so better start giving him small doses of his own medicine...

DO NOT stop what you are doing...try to irritate him more..make him think at all cost that...you will not take this anymore and you are more evil, dangerous, mad, retard and from an asylum and more than capable of ding physical harm to him. :)..i know sounds crazy but its the only way to stop a crazy guy by letting him know that you are more crazier and hellish than him...:)

Good Luck

Chi, you are a really nice man and I understand that it's not your nature to be confrontational, but this is the time to make an exception. James put it much like I would have, but I also would temper that a bit as you will most likely do. Take immediate and decisive action. I'm close enough to help if you need me, PM me!

The other side that I see...is obviously the German guy's side. What I recommended is that the poster gets the entire story. Maybe the German guy has some points of his own. You speculate what the German guy is thinking and doing. I wouldn't jump to call him an asshole and all that. There is 1 side of the story here.

Have you ever met a wife that talks about how badly her husband treats her and blah, blah, blah? Sometimes it's true. Sometimes, the husband should be the one complaining instead. But, when we listen to the wife's sob story (1 side of the story), we get all riled up. Oh, that husband is an asshole, and we don't even know him. It might, or might not, be justified. I think you get my point.

In my 10 years of experience here, I've seen all kinds of Filipinos exaggerate excessively to get more sympathy from people in leadership or authority positions. I lived it. Yes, it 's a personal perception from experience. You can deny that. It doesn't matter to me.

On another note, the poster is all riled up. Why doesn't the guy living in the house take care of it himself? Why does he have to get the house owner in the USA to solve his problems? What does he expect the poster to do from the USA?

My point has been made. Consider it, or don't.

Ensure the pad and pipe is on your property, if it is, find out if anyone wants some concrete, have the come over, cut it up and haul it away, you think the G. gave you some cement, but you don't need it, so you gave it away..and start parking something there all the time. Yes, go to the barangay captain and get the pipe taken away or have it plugged..Piece of shit he is... give him some back.

Perhaps a big well planed Forum party at his place (invite the Barangay Captain) , then see if his neighbor wants to complain or join us. If he complains all the Kanos tell him to "PISS-OFF" and if he wants to join the group then also tell him to just piss-off. It will show this neighbor that the man he is pushing on has a lot of friends. Everyone park their vehicles and bikes in front of the neighbors property. Think this bully prick will try to push around 50 expats or more. I would even try to come up from Surigao for such a cause. I hate bullies.

Some of you are assuming that the German guy's car is being parked on Chimellie's land. I'm not sure if that's the case:

Quote

the G. dude started claiming the parking spot in front of our place because they just bought another car and they have a tricycle business so there's no more room in their yard

...or am I missing something? Still, this German guy sounds like a real prick and certainly doesn't have the right to pour concrete on property (public?) which doesn't belong to him. Seeing the Barangy Captain is a good move.

i'd make it at least a weekly get together

With a cheery smile and a wave of his hand he wandered off to an unknown land.

Thanks for your input guys, right now I just wait to hear what the B.C have to say then I will make a decision on what to do. I don't mind if he parks his car there once in a while and just leave our family alone and stop throwing water at the children when they play. I want to be his friend, not enemy because we will be living next to each other.

By the way, in the front of my house is public land, it's part of the road. He claims that spot because he cemented it and marked it with yellow paint. I will post some pictures soon.

Bob Ward : I will send you a PM soon, maybe you can be a peace maker for us and maybe he will respect and listen to a Kano. I want to hear what he has to say too. Thanks.

Hey man, I didn't do it.

Posted Image

RIGHT ON, I AGREE WITH YOU 110%......Posted Image

does he throw water.. like a bucket of water or shoot them with the hose?

either way when the kids are out playing have someone out there with them with either a bucket or hose, whatever he has, and return fire

that's what i would do at the very least

With a cheery smile and a wave of his hand he wandered off to an unknown land.

Not all those who wander are lost.
