I won the Footy Tipping comp in work 2 years ago...which just happened to be the same year that the Mighty Hawks won the premiership so I'd welcome a tipping comp. I'll be in Cebu before the beginning of the next season so we'll see what we can do about setting one up.

Well there's only been one round played, 21 to go, plus the finals. We could ask Admin to pin a topic for us in the sports section, and each week we post our tips, with a deadline of say... 2pm Fridays, Cebu time, which is the same as Perth, and 4pm east coast time, plenty of time before the first game Friday night. If there are any games on Thursday night or Friday-day due to a public holiday (haven't seen the fixture yet), the deadline would be 2pm Thursday Cebu time. If anyone forgets to post their tips, they get all the away teams by default.

Just post your tips by 2pm Friday, Perth and Cebu time. On Monday I will analyse the results and post them here. Any AFL fans reading, feel free to do the same, post your tips that is.

4 points for each winning choice, 2 points if they draw. Tip 8 winners and you get 32 points.

Wish I had've thought of this 3 weeks ago. Anyway, as Tony said, we can start from scratch next season, consider this a practice run. Over the season, I'll refine the system so next year it's easy.

It allows you to run a comp and does all the collection of tips for you. It's good, it's free and almost everyone here in Australia uses it for the office tipping competitions.

I had a look at the site Tony. They ask for a lot of personal info, but I guess no one would know if info entered was accurate or not eh? Anyway I don't mind analysing the tips this year, if we all enjoy it and are interested next year, we could go with the more organised comp.

Maybe this is just a stupid idea (im Irish!).Why not set up a league amongst Aussies in a Fantasy Footie Competition online??There are lots in the English Premiership,there must be one for AFL.All the Aussies in LINC can have their own mini competition.
