01. SPAM

  • Attention Spammers - If you SPAM this forum, your post will never see the light of day, so don't waste your time. All initial posts are moderated. - Added 04/09/2010
  • Posting SPAM - There again, if you post SPAM anywhere this forum, you will be banned immediately. - Updated 04/09/2010
  • Email / PM Spam - Do not SPAM other members of this forum via PM (Private Message) or email. If you do, you will be banned immediately.
  • Protecting Your Email Address - Do not post your email address anywhere on this forum. If you do, SPAMbots will have your address soon after. - Added 03/09/2010

03. Forum Staff

  • Administrators / Moderators - We have both on this forum. Each of them know their duties and what is required of them to help maintain order on the forums. If you have an issue with one of the Moderators, please contact an Administrator to sort out your issue.
  • Forum Members - Please leave moderating to the staff. If you believe a topic or post violates the rules, click the "report button under that posters avatar/personal information on the left side of the page. Alternatively, you may send a PM to one of the moderators of that forum, or any administrator. Please include a link to the post in question. However, do not police the forum yourself, as that often leads to arguments, flaming, and afterward, someone usually getting banned.

04. Posting Email addresses, Commercial Ads, Politics & Religion
  • Email Addresses - Email addresses are not permitted to be posted anywhere on this forum, without the expressed permission of Paul (Admin), the forum owner.
  • Posting Ads - No ads are to be placed anywhere on these forums without prior approval. Never, ever, post links to Meet-A-Filipina or other introductory type sites. I do not promote these sites in any fashion and you will be banned immediately for doing so. If you wish to meet a Filipina, come here, get off the damn plane, and meet them. It isn't a difficult task.
  • Staff Business Involvement - The forum Administrators may be involved with various other sites online. So, do not post links to businesses which may conflict or compete with ventures board administration may be involved in without prior permission. This includes, but is not limited to flower or gift delivery sites, real estate agencies, investigation/verification companies, and promotional or tourism sites. If you are not sure if a business link is acceptable to post, ask first. If you do not, you may be banned.
  • Posting Business Links - Do not post links promoting your business or even items you wish to sell. This is not a classified ads site put here for your benefit as a New Member (regardless of the user group you are in). This is a "give-and-take" forum. You join, post and ask questions or offer advice first, and then you will have the privilege to post an ad in the Classified Ads Forum. The Classified Ads Forum is for active members who post on this site. On occasion, I have been known to make exceptions. But, you must contact me to discuss this ahead of time. If you are not sure if it is acceptable to post on the forums, ask a Moderator or Administrator first.
  • Politics & Religion - These two topics almost always cause flaming. Do not post your political or religious beliefs anywhere on this forum.

05. Newbies User Group
  • Joining - If you wish not to subscribe or donate to the site, you can join the forums as a New Member. If you wish to subscribe or donate to the site, you will become a Sponsor Member, which automatically grants your account full access to the forums.
  • Introductions - We encourage all new members to post a brief introduction in the Introduction Threads Forum, no matter what user group you start in.
  • Posting & Forum Access - The first five (5) posts by all members in the New Member user group will be moderated (hidden until approved). This prevents SPAMMERs from joining and immediately posting SPAM the forum. After your first five (5) posts have been approved, you will be able to post regularly in most forums on this site. However, do not post SPAM anywhere on this site after your account has been upgraded, or you will be banned.
  • Profile Access - You will not be granted access to view or edit your profile, or to view any other members' profiles on the forums, until you have posted 35 successful posts. Your your account will then automatically be moved into the Full Member user group, offering you full access to the forums.
  • PM (Private Message) Access - All New Members' PM feature will not function (you cannot send or receive PMs) until you have reached a total of 35 posts and have been moved into the Full Member user group.
  • Signatures - You do not have permission to edit your signature.
  • Contact - If you have any issues regarding how to use the forums, feel free to post a question, comment or concern, in the Forum Questions Forum.

06. Full Member User Group
  • Posting & Access - Once you are in the Full Members user group, you will have full access to the forums, allowing you to post topics and replies in every forum on the site. After you have been promoted to a Full Member, you may also post ads in the Classified Ads Forum. Additionally, other forums become available that are hidden from view until moved into the Full Members Usegroup.
  • Profile Access - You will have full access to edit your Personal Profile, which is located in your personal Control Panel, and to view other Members, Moderators and Administrators profiles. Keep your personal profile clean with no derogatory remarks in it.
  • Avatars - You may add an avatar to your profile after you become a Full Member. The size can be no larger than 150 x 150 and the file size less than 100 Kb.
  • Signatures - You may now change your signature, adding up to one (1) banner, at 468 pixels x 60 pixels. You may make this a hyperlink if you wish. However, please check with the forums administrators to verify that your signature banner and the website it links to, is within the allowances of this forum.
  • Private Message - You may use your PM feature to contact other members. They may also contact you through PM, if you choose to have it enabled. (You may also disable your PM feature if you wish.) Use your PM feature responsibly. Do not SPAM other members. If you do, you will be banned immediately.

07. Advanced Member User Group
  • Upon completing your 75th successful post, your account will automatically be moved into the Advanced Members user group. When you are promoted to this user group, you acquire full general access to the forums, with the exception of certain "hidden" forums.
  • Once an Advanced Member has reached 500 posts, he/she will will be promoted to the Senior Member user group.

08. Sponsor User Group

  • All members, whether having just joined or if you have been on the site for a while, may choose to donate to the site by way of purchasing a subscription package through the forums. Upon successfully purchasing a subscription, your account will automatically be moved into the Sponsor user group.
  • An alternative, and if you choose to simply donate x number of dollars to the site, is to donate via the donate button on the forums portal page.

07. Senior Member User Group

  • Members of the Senior Member user group have reached at least 500 posts and have earned a positive reputation by posting on the forums and by helping others in need. They may now appreciate complete, full access of every forum on this site.

09. Subscriptions & Donations
  • By choosing and successfully purchasing any subscription on the Living In Cebu Forums, your account will be granted immediate full access to the forums. All features of the forums will be available to supporting (Sponsor) members. Additional "hidden" forums will become available for you as well.
  • Subscriptions - You may subscribe to the forums by choosing any subscription package that is listed on the Subscriptions page. Tick the check box of any package and continue to make payment. Afterward, your account will be moved into the Sponsor user group.
  • Donations - Alternatively, you may load the Living In Cebu Forums site. Click on the "Donate" button located in the top right column on the portal.
  • Advertising - Please note, purchasing a subscription or making a donation does not give any member the right to post ads on the site or to contact members offering their services, without permission. Please seek prior approval before doing so.

11. Robot User Group

  • This user group is solely for search engine spiders and robots that post RSS feeds on the forum, like the Weather Bot, for example.

11. VIP Member User Group

  • The VIP user group is a by invitation only user group. Please do not ask to become a VIP Member. It isn't as prestigious as it sounds, trust me.
